Mijn naam is Ardalan Najjarkakhaki. Ik ben geboren in Iran (van Perzische origine) en heb enkele jaren in Teheran, Istanbul en Athene gewoond, waarna ik op jonge leeftijd naar Amsterdam verhuisde. Ik voltooide de master klinische psychologie aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam, waarna ik een postmaster opleiding tot GZ-psycholoog en postmaster opleiding tot psychotherapeut heb afgerond. Daarnaast ben ik werkzaam als senior schematherapeut, ISTDP-therapeut en als seksuoloog.
Mijn psychotherapeutische stijl wordt gekenmerkt door een actieve en nieuwsgierige houding, met nadruk op het bereiken van structurele psychologische veranderingen, het verwerven van nieuwe inzichten, en doorwerken van diepere gevoelslagen. Ik bied derhalve psychotherapie die verder gaat dan enkel ondersteuning, met als doel diepere psychologische processen te verkennen en aan te pakken, in plaats van enkel de symptomen te verlichten.
My name is Ardalan Najjarkakhaki. I was born in Iran (of Persian heritage), and for several years lived in Tehran, Istanbul and Athens, after which I moved to Amsterdam at a young age. I studied clinical psychology at the University of Amsterdam. After obtaining my master’s degree I completed two postmaster clinical trainings, and I am now registered as a healthcare psychologist (GZ-psycholoog) and psychotherapist. I am also specialized as a senior schema therapist, ISTDP therapist, and sexologist.
My psychotherapeutic stance is characterised by an active and inquisitive approach, with an emphasis on achieving structural psychological changes, gaining new insights, and working through deeper emotional layers. I offer psychotherapy that goes beyond offering support, aiming to actively explore and address deeper psychological processes, uncovering core issues rather than simply alleviating symptoms.
