Mijn naam is Ardalan Najjarkakhaki. Ik ben geboren in Iran (van Perzische origine) en heb enkele jaren in Teheran, Istanbul en Athene gewoond, waarna ik op jonge leeftijd naar Amsterdam verhuisde. Ik voltooide de master klinische psychologie aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam, waarna ik een postmaster opleiding tot GZ-psycholoog en postmaster opleiding tot psychotherapeut heb afgerond. Ik ben tevens geregistreerd senior schematherapeut en ISTDP-therapeut. Daarnaast ben ik werkzaam als seksuoloog. Ik heb 15 jaar ervaring met diagnostiek en behandeling van uiteenlopende psychiatrische problematiek, waaronder angststoornissen, stemmingsstoornissen, persoonlijkheidsstoornissen, migratie- en cultuur-specifieke problematiek, en LGBTI problematiek. Ik heb enkele jaren in de forensische psychiatrie gewerkt, en heb daarna de overstap naar de transculturele psychiatrie gemaakt.
My name is Ardalan Najjarkakhaki. I was born in Iran (Persian origins), and for several years lived in Tehran, Istanbul and Athens, after which I moved to Amsterdam at a young age. I studied clinical psychology at the University of Amsterdam. After obtaining my master’s degree I completed two postmaster clinical trainings, and I am now registered as a healthcare psychologist (GZ-psycholoog) and psychotherapist. I also have a specialisation as a sexologist. I am a registered senior schematherapist and ISTDP therapist. I have fifteen years of experience in the diagnostics and treatment of anxiety disorders, mood disorders, personality disorders, migration- and culture-specific issues and LGBTI-specific issues. After working in the field of forensic psychiatry for several years, I eventually transitioned to the field of transcultural psychiatry.
